Living in Light At The End. Almost 2000 years ago, Peter said “The end of all things is near!” How much truer is this today? There is little doubt that the end is almost here. In this message, Pastor Wilson echoes the Warning from God about living in the last days.

    Don’t Look Back
    DON’T LOOK BACK
    Luke 17:28-32
In our opening text, Jesus was teaching about being ready at His return. The important thing is not to chart the future but to be ready for His coming at any time. This means we are to give no attention to the sensationalists and the people who claim to know all the “secrets”.  Not one person can tell you what will be the final day.  But we can see when the time is getting closer.

    The Runner’s Reward
The Runners Reward 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 Heavenly Rewards is a neglected subject in the church. We speak more of homes here than in heaven. We talk of security, nest eggs, and promotions but little of eternal rewards. Jesus taught us to lay up treasures in heaven (Mat 6:19-20 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: (20)  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal)

    Enslaved
Samson thought he could never lose but we see in the opening text a great man brought to nothing with his head shaved and his eyes gouged out! He was bound in chains and forced to slave labor. Lashing him to work like an animal , grinding in the mill. He beautiful locks of hair, gone. Blind, no longer able to see the enemy taunting him!

This is a type and picture of what backsliding will do to the Christian.

    Hope Comes In The Morning
In this powerful and uplifting sermon, Pastor Wilson delves into the profound concept that hope has the ability to transform our lives, even in the darkest of times. Drawing inspiration from the biblical reference to morning as a metaphor for new beginnings, the sermon explores how hope can emerge and flourish amidst adversity. Through heartfelt anecdotes, relatable examples, and scriptural insights, Brother Wilson encourages listeners to hold onto hope, reminding them that no matter how long the night may be, a new day is dawning. With a message of resilience, restoration, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow, "Hope Comes in the Morning" invites congregants to embrace the profound hope that comes from their faith, inspiring them to face life's challenges with renewed optimism and unwavering trust in God's unfailing grace.

    The Land Of No Tears
Rev 21:4 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: For the former things are passed away. In this short little brief life of ours, we must think of two worlds
    • We commit spiritual suicide if we think only of this world and not the other one in heaven • Jesus told us He was going to prepare a place for us where we might live forever and while John the Beloved was on the isle of Patmos, God pulled back the curtains into the spiritual realm and gave him the privilege of gazing into the glories of our future home • Today I want to contrast these two places, one world that we live in now that is full of sorrow and heartache and the other world that John saw and Jesus promised, a land of no tears

Psalms 36:5-10  Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.  [6]  Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.  [7]  How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.  [8]  They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.  [9]  For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.  [10]  O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

They are at Mount Saini, the Ten Commandments were given. The other laws that pertained to life and treatment of other people are being told. Then at the end of this giving of laws, the Lord declares a promise to the Children of Israel

    The Invincible Church
Matthew 16:13-18  When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?  [14]  And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.  [15]  He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?  [16]  And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.  [17]  And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.  [18]  And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. The Church is God’s one redemptive institution placed on this earth.
    • It was to the Church that Jesus gave the Great Commission.
    • It was through the church that Jesus brings the great message of Salvation to the world.
    • It is for the Church that Jesus will return one day.
Never forget the church, despite its faults will stand until Jesus comes again.
    • Jesus promised the gates of hell would not prevail and I want to minister a few moments on the Invincible church!

    Remembering The Words of Jesus
    Remember His Words
REMEMBER HIS WORDS - Luke 24:1-12 REMEMBER THE WORDS OF JESUS ABOUT GOD’S LOVE 1. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son and whosoever believes on Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 2. 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your care upon him; for he cares for you. 3. Jesus said in Luke 12 that five sparrows are sold for just two pennies, but God doesn't forget a one of them. Even the hairs on your head are counted. So don't be afraid! You are worth much more than many sparrows.

REMEMBER THE WORDS OF JESUS ABOUT PRAYER 1. John 14:13-14 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. [14] If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. a. Why do we have so little faith when we ask 2. James said that the prayers of a righteous are powerful

REMEMBER THE WORDS OF JESUS ABOUT HEAVEN 1. Heaven is the dwelling place of God , a place reserved for the redeemed. 2. John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. [2] In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 3. This world is not your home.
REMEMBER THE WORDS OF JESUS ABOUT HELL 1. If you believe in Heaven you must also accept the reality of hell! 2. Jesus talked more about hell than he did Heaven 3. He described hell as a place of outer darkness, a place of weeping and gnashing of teeth 4. He said it was a place of eternal judgment where the flames never cease, the same word for eternal to describe heaven is used to show hell is also eternal 5. A place where worms devour the soul for eternity. Its not a place where people are tormented by the devil. It’s the place people will be to receive the same punishment as the devil 6. Hollywood’s worst horror movie ever produced could not even come close to the torment and pain that awaits the wicked in the lake of fire. 7. WC Fields, following the devasting 1933 Southern California Earthquake said, “we’re crazy to live here but there sure is a lot of us!” – Many display that same attitude about hell REMEMBER THE WORDS OF THE LORD ABOUT BEING READY
    1. Amos 4:11-12 I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD. [12] Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel. 2. Rest assured that God will not be mocked and America will face Jehovah one day 5. What are you building your life on today, on sand or the solid rock Jesus Christ? 6. Because when the contrary winds of life blow, you will stand if it was built on the Rock 7. No one knows the day or hour Jesus will return. a. The angels in heaven don't know, and the Son himself doesn't know. Only the Father b. When the Son of Man appears, things will be just as they were when Noah lived. c. People were eating, drinking, and getting married right up to the day that the flood came and Noah went into the ark. d. They didn't know anything was happening until the flood came and swept them all away. e. That is how it will be when the Son of Man appears. f. Two men will be in the same field, but only one will be taken. The other will be left. g. Two women will be together working, but only one will be taken. The other will be left. h. So be on your guard! You don't know when your Lord will come. 8. Jesus said Mat 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

REMEMBER HIS WORDS! The Lord has made provisions for you in this life and the one to come The Lord has told us about the two possible eternal destinies we will chose before we leave this earthly vessel The Lord invites you today to REMEMBER HIS WORDS
He has left the decision to you!

    Satan’s Schemes Against God’s Plans
Opening text: Jeremiah 29:11-14  Jeremiah, the weeping Prophet , was sent by God to prepare Judah for repentance or captivity. Jeremiah, in chapter 7, preached a sermon in the temple at Jerusalem. He elaborated on why Judgement was coming if Israel would not repent.
    • Everything God expected His people to do, they neglected to do
    • They returned to their old sinful ways and broke their covenant with God
    • They stole, committed murder, engaged in adultery, swore falsely, and worshipped other Gods
    • They oppressed the orphans and widows
    • The idolatry they engaged in was of the worst kind. They even setup idols of the queen of heavens, Ishtar. They went so far as to kill babies for sacrifice to these idols
    • The people thought as long as they performed the Levitical sacrifices in the temple, God would not punish them. They were Jews! Zion would never be defeated was their cry!
    • The people did not want to hear Jeremiahs preaching, even his own family! How dare Jeremiah say that Jerusalem would be overrun and destroyed!
The Jews were oblivious to the schemes and traps of Satan.
    Satan plots to distract
    • Lucifers schemes are not always disasters
    • He distracts people from the body of Christ, if he can keep you away from believers
    • He distracts from the truth, the Word
    • He debases our spiritual authority (prayers)
    • He distracts worship
    • He distracts from healthy relationships – God’s image of you
    • People are used of satan – critical, opinionated, attention seekers, divisive
    Satan distorts what God instructs
    • Satan tells half truths. There is just enough truth injected to get people off track
    • A great example is love , the Love God has for the human race is beautiful
    • The love between a man and woman who care for each other is designed by God to flourish, to be fruitful and multiply the Earth.
    • But look how twisted it is now. What I am preaching is hated just the same as when Jeremiah preached.
    • There are some godless people that would have no problem shutting down preachers like me if they could just like they did Jeremiah
    • Satans bottom line is to destroy God’s plans for this nation
    • I hope and pray that the remnant of God will wake up this nation to the reality of our condition
